The Plum Yard is an organisation established in 2013 by members of Continuo Theatre and their collaborators. It’s located in South Bohemia, in the little village of Malovice. The Plum Yard’s mission is to offer a regular cultural programme for adults, children and families focused on performing arts, and to support community outreach activities and pedagogical projects. We also provide both long-term and short-term residencies for collectives and individuals from visual arts, performing arts, music and literature. The vision of Plum Yard is to create conditions for artistic and cultural collaboration through dialogue between an international organism of artistic creation, research, and the specific, rooted culture that surrounds it. Plum Yard enriches cultural and neighbouring life not only locally but is a significant cultural promoter throughout the region.
