Cultural centre for contemporary performance and visual arts

Centrum pro otevřenou kulturu (COK) was established in 2018 to bring under its umbrella a multi-genre cultural and production centre, Divadlo 29, and the Pardubice City Gallery, a Kunsthalle-type institution focused on contemporary visual arts. It is a multi-genre cultural and art centre focused on supporting and presenting contemporary non-mainstream performance and visual arts.

The COK programme is built on synergy of the two institutions, emphasising artistic quality, innovation, relevance, and continuity.

In addition to the activities carried out in their premises, Divadlo 29 and the Pardubice City Gallery realise artistic projects in public spaces or in spaces that are no longer functional or accessible to the public (Automatické mlýny, Kino Sirius, Střelnice).

COK also organises workshops and artist residencies.
